Rumours were rife that the images had been leaked by a PI hired by Mike’s wife, a claim that has recently been clarified.

On April 24, 2026, TMZ Sports finally revealed who leaked images of Dianna and Mike’s private moments in Sedona, Arizona. The publication refuted the viral theory regarding Mike Vrabel’s wife, Jennifer Vrabel having hired a PI for the job. According to them, a local couple who were vacationing at the Ambiente resort on the same date and time as Dianna and Mike recognised them and took their pics. Regarding why they clicked the photos, the media outlet said the unnamed man was a big sports fan and could identify Mike Vrabel from a distance.

After clicking the shots, the non-celebrity couple handed them over to Page Six; however, the reason for the same is unknown. The report didn’t reveal whether the fans disliked Mike or if there was another motive behind their act. Notably, the report on the local Arizona couple indirectly cleared Mike Vrabel’s wife, Jennifer, of the PI-hiring allegations. Previously, a prominent radio host, Jared Stillman also shared that Jennifer would have “nothing to gain” from the photo leaks. He even predicted that Dianne’s husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, might have hired the PI, a rumour now reported to be false. Jared wrote on X:

“Personally, I think it was Dianna Russini’s husband who hired the PI. Why? Because not only does he [Kevin] have the upper hand in a potential divorce but it bombs her career at the same. Mike Vrabel’s wife would have nothing to gain by these pictures being public.”

Popular media personality, Megyn Kelly weighed in on the possibility that Dianna Russini herself was behind the leaking of photos with Mike Vrabel. Megyn openly suggested that Dianna may be the “mastermind” behind the entire controversy during the April 24, 2026, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. The journalist questioned why private moments of Dianna and Mike from various times, including a 2020 encounter in a New York City bar and a 2026 trip to Sedona, were all surfacing now. She argued that someone wanting to keep an affair quiet would not have made so many affectionate public gestures. Megyn said:

“So, I have a question… We get these pictures from Sedona… We get these pictures from six years ago at a Tribeca nightclub. We have public statements. The Michael thing… From what I understand that’s not at all the first thing that she has said publicly affectionately about this Mike Vrabel guy. So, do you think it might be her – meaning, do you think all this might be coming from her? Because I’ll tell you what, I do.”

Megyn further said that Dianna’s numerous public statements, including naming her elder son Michael (Mike’s full name), hinted that the former NFL insider had no intention of hiding her alleged affair with Mike Vrabel. According to Megyn, if a person is having an extramarital affair, they will try their best to keep it private; however, that wasn’t the case with Dianna Russini.
