Coming to her personal life, Hannah Montana actress is engaged to musician, Maxx Morando. In December 2025, a source confirmed that Miley had exchanged rings with Maxx after 4 years of dating. Over the years, Cyrus has had a fair share of relationships. Before finding love in Maxx, Miley was married to actor, Liam Hemsworth. Now, an alleged chat conversation between Miley and Liam surfaced online.

Recently, rumours began circulating on social media that Miley Cyrus’ Instagram handle has been hacked. While Miley has not yet made any official statement about her account being hacked, a parody account named Miley Updates on X (formerly Twitter) shared that Miley’s Instagram has been hacked and that everything posted there is not true. Amid this, an alleged chat conversation between Cyrus and her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, surfaced online. In the viral screenshot of the alleged chat conversation, Liam texted Miley on Valentine’s Day, “Miley, please answer.” He added, “I’m not asking for money this time.”

Miley’s alleged response was just three dots with no words. In response, Liam wrote, “Call me back!” While the chat conversation has been reshared by countless fan pages and pop culture accounts, we cannot verify its authenticity. The message claimed that the hacker leaked the alleged chat conversation between Miley and her ex-partner. The account, Poponze on X, shared the message:

“Hacker who hacked Miley Cyrus’s Instagram account leaked alleged message from Liam Hemsworth to the singer: ‘Miley, please answer me, I’m not asking for money this time.'”

Netizens’ reaction to the viral screenshot

Shortly after Poponze dropped the screenshot of the alleged chat conversation between Cyrus and her ex-husband, Liam, netizens flooded the comment section. A user wrote, “Hey folks, to me this can only be fake—the family of this guy is filthy rich, he acts too, and if he wants to act more, he can easily land any role.” Another user commented, “I’m sure those two will get back together; this is just talk of binding, anyone who followed their story knows.”

A third user penned, “This screenshot has become a historic landmark of pop culture. The expose hit hard and showed that the guy was the pure essence of ex-flirting cringe and humiliating!” A fourth user wrote, “I think those two are gonna end up getting back together.” Another comment can be read as:

“What could be the original denotation of this message, because I know Liam Hemsworth is damn rich, or is there something we aren’t seeing they aren’t telling us. Dude has a net worth running into multi-million dollars.”

Three days later, Liam confirmed his split from Miley. He wrote, “Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated, and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”
