Hyderabad: The officials of Telangana Food Safety Wing seized Rs.7.78 lakh worth milk and ghee in Hyderabad during a special drive carried out in Hyderabad. In all, 71 inspections were conducted facilitating officials to collect 91samples across districts.
During the inspections, the food safety officers found availability of non-branded and loose milk and ghee in several districts. Milk centres operating without valid Registration Certificates (RCs) were identified in certain districts
The officials said issued show cause and improvement notices to the errant suppliers. They lifted samples for lab analysis. In an advisory, the officials urged consumers to prefer packaged products and check FSSAI license.
