Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh saw her second marriage go up in smoke this year as she split from fellow reality star Hugo Taylor. Sunday saw her mark her first birthday since this second divorce.

Millie Mackintosh has reflected on a year of heartbreak as she marked her latest birthday. The twice divorced reality star has had a turbulent 12 months which saw her second marriage come to an end.

However, the former Made In Chelsea star has insisted there have been good times as well as bad as she stopped to take stock of her life so far. On Sunday, Millie – who was married to rapper Professor Green from 2013 until 2016 and then fellow reality star Hugo Taylor from 2018 until this year – made a wish as she blew out a candle on a birthday cake.

The mum-of-two – who shares daughters Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, with ex-husband Hugo, 40 – wore a magenta pink bikini and was assisted by off-camera aids who applied make up, shades and lit her candle in a short video clip. The fun video was accompanied by a detailed caption, in which Millie outlined her feelings about life so far.

She began: “37 trips around the sun” – adding a sun emoji and a white heart emoji to the caption before pressing on the reveal how the previous 12 months had impacted her character. Millie wrote: “This year has changed me more than I ever imagined.

“It has been a year of letting go, starting over, finding strength I didn’t know I had, and learning that rebuilding your life takes courage, patience and a lot of faith. There have been moments that have broken my heart, but they’ve also made space for so much growth, gratitude and hope.”

Looking forward to the future, Millie continued: “As I step into 37, I’m incredibly proud of the woman I’ve become. Not because I’ve got everything figured out, but because I kept going, even when life felt uncertain.

“I’m walking into this next year with a full heart, a clearer sense of who I am, and excitement for everything that’s still to come. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey.”

The reality star – who had the catchphrase “Here’s to friendship” while on Made In Chelsea – concluded: “Here’s to the next chapter” – and added sparkles and another white heart as she bowed out of the post with final emojis.

Hugo was among those to respond to the post, writing “Happy birthday” alongside a birthday cake emoji – and signalling that there may be no bad blood between the couple despite the collapse of their marriage. Made In Chelsea fans will recall that Millie and Hugo enjoyed a romance on the hit E4 show.

The happiness was destroyed, however, when Hugo allegedly had an affair with co-star Rosie Fortescue – with an explosive confrontation about the affair unfolding at the end of the second season of the long-running show. Millie then went on to date, marry and divorce musician Professor Green – real name Stephen Manderson, 42.

MIC fans were then stunned to see Millie and Hugo rekindle their romance in the wake of her divorce – only to later be shocked when they called time on their marriage.

The reality stars revealed that their romance was over in February, with a source confirming to the Daily Mail at the time: “Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.”

The source continued: “They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it’s better for them both to part ways.”

The source also revealed that the reality stars would work together to raise their daughters, stating: “Their main priority remains their children and family life.”
