The Milwaukee Brewers set a franchise record last year by going 97-65. Not only did they finish with the best record in baseball, but they also had more wins than any other team in the history of the organization.
Now, a year later, they are even better.

With their 3-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday night, Milwaukee improved to 98-58 on the season. Obviously, this breaks their franchise record from last season, and also marks the first time in franchise history that they are 40 games over .500.
Oh, and Jackson Chourio made history, too.

Heading into the game, Chourio had 24 home runs and 19 stolen bases on the season. He swiped two bags in the 3-0 victory, giving him his third consecutive 20-20 season to start his Major League career.
This milestone is notable for two reasons. First, he joins Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jr. as the only three players in baseball history to start their careers with three straight 20-20 seasons.

But what is even more impressive is that Chourio, who is still just 22 years old, is the first player in history to have three consecutive 20-20 seasons before the age of 23:
What makes the achievement all the more impressive this year is the fact that Chourio missed the first month of the season with a fracture in his left hand. Had he been healthy in March/April, he likely would have accomplished this milestone weeks ago, and perhaps would have a 30-30 season by now.
For the 2026 season, the Brewers’ star left-fielder is hitting .285/.344/.481 with 24 home runs, 70 RBI, and 21 stolen bases.

Oh, and he leads all MLB left fielders in defensive runs saved, making him a serious candidate for a Gold Glove award.
