Minister Seethakka Writes LLM Entrance Exam, To Pursue Constitutional Law

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Dasari Anasuya (Seethakka) appeared for an entrance examination to pursue a master’s in law. She appeared for the Telangana PG Law Common Entrance Test at a college in Moulali on Monday.

The Minister continues to pursue academic excellence after having already completed LLB, an LLM in Corporate Law, and a PhD in Political Science from Osmania University. Her thesis was on ‘Social Exclusion and Deprivation of Migrant Tribals of Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State – A Case Study of Gotti Koya Tribes in Warangal And Khammam Districts.”The Minister is now aspiring to pursue another LLM specialization in Constitutional Law out of her deep interest in the Indian Constitution.

Seethakka, a former Naxalite, had joined the Naxal movement in the late 1980s, given up arms, and joined the mainstream in the 1990s. A fiery ST leader, she was first elected to the Assembly from Mulugu (ST) constituency on a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) ticket in 2009.
In 2018, she was elected to the Assembly on a Congress ticket. She was re-elected in 2023 and joined the Council of Ministers led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy as minister for Panchayat Raj and Women and Child Welfare.
