Mira, wife of Kareena’s ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, will soon grace the actress’ popular talk show, What Women Want Season 6, as a guest. The collaboration grabbed massive online attention because of their common link, i.e., Shahid Kapoor.
Mira Rajput took an indirect dig at Kareena Kapoor
Mira Rajput tied the knot with Shahid Kapoor in 2015, and the couple welcomed two kids together, Misha and Zain. Kareena Kapoor, on the other hand, got married to Saif Ali Khan in 2012 and welcomed two kids, Taimur and Jehangir.
Back in 2017, at an event, Mira spoke about her difficult pregnancy while expecting Misha. In the same conversation, Mira also revealed that she loves being at home, spending every minute with her daughter.
Going further, Mira said she would not like to go to work and leave her baby girl, Misha, at home unattended. Elaborating on the same, Mira said:
“I had a tough pregnancy so now I want to spend every moment that I can with her. I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her? She (Misha) is not a puppy; I want to be there for her as a mother.”

Mira’s comment looked like a direct dig at Kareena, who resumed work soon after delivering her child. Kareena Kapoor has always balanced her personal and professional life, and she did the same when she embraced motherhood. Soon after delivering her son, Taimur, Kareena returned to work. But Kareena has often credited her husband, Saif Ali Khan, for being a hands-on father to both their children. Once during a media interaction, she said:
“I’m lucky I have a loving and supporting husband. Because right now he’s looking after Taimur – so we share the responsibility.”
A report by leading daily DNA even mentioned that in an earlier interview, Kareena was asked to react to Mira’s statement about working mothers, where she sort of condemned the idea of women taking up work straight after delivering their baby. Responding to the question, Kareena gave her two cents on the same and said:
“What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur. There’s always pressure to be judged, no matter what you do. It’s about how you deal with it. Every pregnancy and every mother’s journey with her child during those nine months and afterwards is different. You can’t draw parallels. No one out there really knows me or what I am feeling at a given time. How can anyone decide on my behalf whether I am supposed to feel depressed or if I can step out before 45 days?”
For the unversed, Kareena and Shahid began dating in 2004 and worked together on many films. However, in 2007, the duo broke up during the making of Jab We Met. According to multiple reports, Kareena Kapoor’s mother and sister, Babita and Karisma Kapoor, were not very fond of Shahid Kapoor and Bebo’s relationship. Although Shahid belonged to a well-known filmy lineage, they felt their families didn’t match or go on par with each other.
