Ongole, June 8: The disappearance of B.Tech student Rahul ended in tragedy after his body was recovered from a well near Singarayakonda in Prakasam district.
Rahul had left home on May 27, informing his family that he was going on a tour. He was last seen after boarding the Sabari Express at Kacheguda railway station. Despite extensive efforts by his family and police to trace him, no information about his whereabouts was available.
Police on Sunday confirmed that Rahul had allegedly died by suicide by jumping into a well near Singarayakonda. His body was retrieved and shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered, and police are investigating the circumstances that led to his disappearance and death. The incident has left his family members devastated.
