Missoni SS27 just gave Milan Fashion Week a wardrobe to pack for. Creative director Alberto Caliri showed his SS27 collection at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano, and the mood was easy, warm and travel-ready.

Accessories were also travel-themed as well—boonie hats and slouchy shoulder bags made the looks look like off-duty explorers; the fabrics were featherlight, so the pieces actually pack well. The same wardrobe goes from day to night; metallic threads and sequins were embellished with the everyday cotton pieces, so a look can go from beach or brunch to dinner without changing the whole outfit—just add a shinier layer on top.
This was also Missoni’s first runway show under new ownership—investment fund FSI and the Katjes group now own the brand. But the clothes didn’t feel like reinvention; they felt like Missoni easing into something more wearable, more relaxed and honestly more useful for real life.
