
Hanumakonda: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy on Wednesday urged state health minister Damodar Rajanarasimha to order an inquiry into the functioning of the Hanumakonda District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) following complaints raised by Health Department employees.
Representatives of the Joint Action Committee (JAC), led by TNGOs Union Hanumakonda district president Akula Rajender, met the MLA at his camp office in Balasamudram and submitted a memorandum alleging that employees were facing difficulties due to the functioning of the DMHO. They said the issue had been brought to the notice of the authorities on several occasions but remained unresolved.
Following the meeting, the MLA spoke to the health minister over the phone and conveyed the employees’ grievances. He requested the minister to order an inquiry into the matter and take appropriate action.
According to the MLA, the minister responded positively and directed the concerned officials to conduct an inquiry and take necessary action.
Speaking on the occasion, Nayini Rajender Reddy said government employees should be able to discharge their duties in a positive and respectful working environment. He assured the employees that he would continue to take up their legitimate concerns with the government.
MLC Baswaraju Saraiah and TNGOs leaders were present at the meeting.
