Nizamabad: Nizamabad Rural MLA Dr R. Bhupati Reddy directed officials to conduct a resurvey of lands belonging to farmers affected by the railway track construction near Nallavelli village in Indalwai mandal to ensure fair compensation.
Several farmers from Nallavelli met the MLA on Sunday and complained that details of lands acquired for the railway project had been incorrectly published in an official press release.
They alleged that the recorded extent of their land was less than the actual area they owned, raising concerns that they could receive lower compensation than they were entitled to.
The farmers urged the MLA to intervene and ensure justice by correcting the discrepancies in the land records before compensation was finalised.
Responding promptly to their grievance, Dr Bhupati Reddy spoke to the revenue divisional officer (RDO) over the phone and directed the official to conduct a fresh field-level survey to verify the actual extent of the affected lands.
He stressed the need to correct any errors and ensure that all eligible farmers displaced by the railway project received fair and adequate compensation in accordance with their actual landholdings.
