New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday invited Dutch companies to invest in India, highlighting opportunities in manufacturing, innovation and infrastructure.

Addressing a CEO Roundtable in the Netherlands, he said India offers scale, stability and rapid growth across sectors. “We invite all of you to design and innovate in India. There can be no better time for this than today,” he said.

He said India was contributing 17 per cent to global growth and noted progress in infrastructure, clean energy and connectivity. The Prime Minister added that reforms in taxation, labour laws and governance had improved ease of doing business and policy predictability.

Modi said sectors such as space, mining and nuclear energy had been opened up to private participation, expanding opportunities for investors.

He said manufacturing in India was becoming cost-effective, while the services sector was driving innovation. He added that global technology companies have established capability centres in the country.

Referring to the proposed India-European Union free trade agreement, he said it would strengthen economic ties and support shared growth.

The Prime Minister said India and the Netherlands were working towards elevating their ties to a strategic partnership and described the bilateral relationship as expanding.

He, along with Netherlands Prime Minister Rob Jetten, also witnessed the signing of an agreement between Tata Electronics and ASML to support a semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat.
