Twin Falls, Idaho: Police say multiple people have been killed in a shooting at a southern Idaho fast-food restaurant, and others were injured.
The shooter is also dead, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said.
The shooting was reported on Saturday afternoon (US time) near a busy shopping area in Twin Falls.
Hicks said he did not have a number yet of how many were killed and injured. Officials were still in the process of notifying next of kin.
The shooting reportedly started at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant. Twin Falls police advised people to avoid the area as they closed roads.
St Luke’s Magic Valley spokesperson Taylor Marschner said in a statement that the medical centre was “working closely with law enforcement and emergency responders as they manage the situation”.
Twin Falls, a city of about 56,000 people, is about 205 kilometres south-east of Boise and about 120 kilometres north of the Nevada border.
