Minister for education, IT and electronics Nara Lokesh on Tuesday described the alliance’s victory in the municipal elections as a mandate to serve people rather than an occasion for celebration. He urged the winning candidates to remain humble and focus on meeting public expectations.
In a post on X, Lokesh said the alliance had accepted the people’s verdict with humility and viewed it as a blessing for the good governance delivered over the past two-and-a-half years.
He congratulated the victorious candidates of the Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP and thanked leaders and workers of all three parties for their efforts.
Lokesh said the conclusion of the municipal elections marked the beginning of a renewed focus on public service, irrespective of political affiliations. He cautioned the winners against arrogance and complacency.
“Keeping the trust people have placed in us is our real responsibility, and we will work harder than ever to deliver on their aspirations,” he said.
Lokesh also shared a poster carrying the Telugu slogan “Cheppam! Chestunnam!!” (We said it! We are delivering!), featuring the election symbols of the BJP, Jana Sena and TD.
