Kakinada: Rajanagaram MLA Bathula Bala Ramakrishna has urged officials to develop Pushkar Ghat in Munikudali as a ‘Model Pushkar Ghat’ as is proposed by Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.
He said maximum amenities should be provided for devotees during the Godavari Pushkaralu. Some 13 places have been chosen for improvement of the ghats and providing infra facilities in Rajanagaram constituency. Officials must take steps for continuous supply of drinking water.
Sanitation should also be improved. Proposals worth Rs.4.52 crore have been prepared for the drinking water and sanitation, he said.
Another plan, he said is for construction of 1,535 CC drains at a cost of Rs.129 crore. Development works would be undertaken at a cost of Rs.7 crore.
He suggested that the RWS officials undertake proactive measures to ensure that no drinking water shortage arose anywhere in the constituency during the summer. Drinking water supply should be improved at Velugubanda, Parijallipeta, East Ganugudem and the Gadarada vinayaka Temple centre, he said.
