Hyderabad:The AIMIM on Friday slammed the state government saying the law and order situation in Hyderabad was worsening by the day with the city witnessing increasing incidents of murder. Speaking during the Zero Hour in the Assembly, AIMIM member Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala said there were two murders in his constituency on Thursday night with a father and son being killed.

“Hyderabad is seeing more and more murders. Law and order are failing in the city,” Balala said. He added that one of the reasons for the sorry state of affairs was that the police were not following up in cases of murders and nor filing chargesheets in time, enabling the arrested accused to get out of prison in three to four months.

Addressing Speaker G. Prasad Kumar, Balala said “I am urging you to fix accountability, I am asking you to do this as there are rumours that you will be the next home minister. The CM too must review the situation.”
