Hyderabad: The Telangana and AP Muslim JAC urged DGP C.V. Anand to order a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the alleged submission of bulk, pre‑printed Form‑7 applications seeking deletion of voters’ names from electoral rolls in Telangana. The Election Commission of India has deleted 12,204 votes following submission and scrutiny of Form‑7 during the SIR exercise, from a total of 24,323 received till the ‘claims and objections’ period concluded.

In a representation to the DGP, JAC president and Tahreek Muslim Shabban president Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik raised concerns over the reported submission of such applications and sought forensic examination of the forms. He also called for a probe into whether an organised operation involving common software, databases, voter information or bulk‑printing facilities was behind their preparation.

The JAC cited a case at Polling Booth No. 210 in Musheerabad, where about 30 Form‑7 applications were reportedly submitted by BJP Booth Level Agent S. Balachander against Congress BLA Shafiuddin and members of his family. According to the representation, the voter particulars and addresses in the applications had already been printed, raising questions over their source and method of preparation.

The organisation asked the DGP to examine the Musheerabad case and other similar reported cases in coordination with the election authorities concerned.
