Chris Nanos says someone knows about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance mystery
Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos recently sat down for an interview with KVOA. During the conversation, he opened up about the ongoing Nancy Guthrie missing case. Chris pointed out that they are offering a large reward of over USD 1 million to anyone who provides information about the 84-year-old. He revealed that he believes someone knows about the mystery behind her disappearance. In turn, he asked the person to come forward with whatever information they had and helped them to find Nancy. In his words:
“The reward money is still there—it’s there for a reason. We think somebody out there knows something. We know they do. We know someone out there knows what happened. Call us.”

Previously, in mid-April 2026, ABX announced that the FBI had obtained DNA from my home. Eventually, the DNA, identified as a hair sample, is scheduled to undergo advanced testing to determine whether it matches a CODIS profile. For those unaware, it is an FBI database that contains DNA profiles of convicted offenders.

Are the FBI and the Sheriff’s office financially working together?
A major concern in the investigation over the past few months has been whether the local law enforcement and the FBI were working together properly. Some questions were also raised after reports suggested communication issues between the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI. But this was during the initial days of the abduction. However, according to Brian Entin’s latest chat with Parade, things have improved.

Brian explained that sources close to the case told him the relationship between the two agencies is now stronger than ever. In turn, he also defended Sheriff Chris Nanos from mounting criticism. Sharing how people often mistake him for being the wrong person, he said:

Former FBI profiler, Jim Clemente believes the Nancy Guthrie missing-person case can move much faster than people think. He told NewsNation that the suspect’s identity could be revealed “within weeks” if investigators trace the communication records and digital evidence connected to the family. At the same time, the advanced DNA testing and then newfound CCTV footage. At the same time, he suggested that the kidnapping might be directly linked to Savannah. In fact, he also believes that the suspect may have tried to harm Savannah. But when he could not, Nancy was the easy target.
