Hyderabad: Union coal minister G. Kishan Reddy aid on Thursday that Hyderabad has emerged as a major centre for premier central government institutions, particularly in defense, science, IT and educational research.
The National Science Centre, now under construction on the CSIR-IICT campus at Tarnaka, would emerge as a major facility, benefitting youth, students and researchers in science and technology fields, he said.
After inspecting the ongoing progress of works there along with Medchal-Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender and others, Kishan Reddy said, “The Prime Minister approved the centre for Hyderabad, with a target to complete and dedicate it to the public by the end of next year. But, the Science Centre will be ready by June next year.”
Kishan Reddy said the PM would conduct the ground-breaking ceremony for the Mega Industrial park in Zaheerabad and the PM Mega Textile Kakatiya Park in Warangal on May 10, apart from dedicating the NHs and railway network upgrades, to the nation.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the Warangal wirport, the rail manufacturing unit, the tribal university at Mulugu and the upgraded AIIMS hospital at Bibinagar would be done in the next three to four months.
These would be done with inauguration of the ultra-modern Secunderabad and Nampally railway stations, he said.
Later, Kishan Reddy visited Parade Grounds and inspected the arrangements for the PM’s meeting, along with Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman and senior leader PL Srinivas.
Kishan Reddy said that a cultural team of 1,000 Lambadi women would entertain the Prime Minister with their traditional dance. The BJP has booked four trains for the convenience of the party workers along the routes of Gadwal, Sirpur-Kagaznagar, Macherial and Khammam to the public meeting.
Talking to the media later, Rajender said chief minister Revanth Reddy would “face a fate similar to KCR for insulting and speaking ill of the Prime Minister.”
“If the Centre stops funding the corporations, municipalities and gram panchayats, the state government will not be able to pay the salaries of the employees,” he said.
