Taylor Swift is the #1 most streamed artist of all time, followed by Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti is the most streamed album of all time, followed by The Weeknd’s Starboy, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Deluxe), Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR, The Weeknd’s After Hours. The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” is the most streamed song of all time, followed by Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather,” The Weeknd & Daft Punk’s “Starboy,” Harry Styles’ “As It Was.”
First time AMA nominees KATSEYE will be performing at the 52nd American Music Awards. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the awards will air live on May 25 on CBS and Paramount+.
Shania Twain will host the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time. The awards will stream live on Prime Video and Amazon Music on May 17.
The Recording Academy was in Washington, D.C. this week for its GRAMMYS On The Hill initiative to celebrate the champions of the music community and advance policy priorities that protect creators’ rights. Music’s biggest week in Washington brought together music creators, industry leaders and lawmakers for three days of advocacy, celebration and conversation. On April 21, over 200 Recording Academy members, industry leaders and members of congress gathered at The Hamilton Live in downtown Washing, D.C. for the GRAMMYS On The Hill Awards, which honored Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) for their bipartisan work to protect musicians. The evening was followed by GRAMMYS On The Hill Advocacy Day which brought artists, songwriters, producers, and other music advocates to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers and discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the music community. Artists including Durand Bernarr, Grace Potter, Israel Houghton, Maggie Rose, and Molly Tuttle met with lawmakers to discuss the importance of the NO FAKES Act, as well as the Transparency and Responsibility for Artificial Intelligence Networks (TRAIN) Act and the Copyright Labeling and Ethical AI Reporting (CLEAR) Act.
