The New York Jets are looking to end a three-game losing streak when they face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, and in preparation for the game, they made a pair of roster moves.

The Jets elevated offensive tackle Brant Banks and linebacker Troy Reeder from the practice squad for the contest, giving the Jets some extra depth at a couple of critical positions, via the NFL transaction wire.

Banks, a 6-foot-7 behemoth out of Rice, has been up and down between New York’s practice squad and the active roster throughout the campaign. The Jets initially signed him shortly before the season began after he was waived by the Green Bay Packers.

Reeder is definitely the bigger addition of the two.

The 32-year-old made his NFL debut with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019 and won a Super Bowl with the team as a part-time starter in 2021. He logged 91 tackles that season.

Reeder had two separate stints with the Rams and also spent a year with the Los Angeles Chargers. He has posted four tackles in five games for the Jets thus far in 2026.

The Jets are looking to win for the first time since Oct. 11, when they defeated the Cleveland Browns in a rain-soaked affair at home.

Obviously, the Chiefs are a much more difficult task, especially at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City has dropped two straight games itself, so the Jets are also catching the Chiefs at a very inopportune time.

Some have wondered if New York head coach Aaron Glenn could be fired midseason if the Jets’ woes continue. They are sitting at 2-6, and Glenn has made some awful decisions throughout the campaign.

New York went 3-14 in Glenn’s debut season with the club last year.

The Jets have not made the playoffs since 2010, representing the longest active drought in the NFL.
