It’s been a bad weekend for NFL referees, and one in particular is on the hot seat after his interaction with Arizona Cardinals star Trey McBride.
Arizona lost a dramatic Week 4 contest against the New York Giants on Sunday after a last-second Giants pick-six. However, the story has evolved into what an NFL ref said to the Cardinals tight end during the second half.

A sideline official was caught delivering a NSFW message to McBride in a viral X video. The 26-year-old NFL star was left baffled by the interaction, and McBride had to be held back by a member of Arizona’s staff as cameras panned away.
The words “f**k you, f**k you” were allegedly yelled in the direction of the 2022 second-round pick. Meanwhile, it’s unclear as to what may have triggered the situation near the Cardinals sideline.

Perhaps Halloween is here early or there’s some other factors at play with the oddities around the NFL. Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson was on the receiving end of a death stare from referee Adrian Hill.

Wilson accidentally ran into Hill during the Vikings’ home affair with the Miami Dolphins, but the official didn’t take too kindly to the bump.
However, McBride’s situation is even stranger considering how well-liked the tight end is. He’s rarely involved in unsavory encounters, which makes the situation even more inexplicable.
The Cardinals tight end had his least productive game of the season as the NFC West team fell 36-24 at MetLife Stadium. McBride finished the game with just 31 yards on seven catches.
