NFL Star Joe Mixon Speaks Out After Florida Plane Crash, Flew With Same Pilots Weeks Before

A harrowing incident recently claimed nine innocent lives in South Florida on November 1, 2026. For those unaware, we are talking about the private jet named Learjet 60, valued at an estimated USD 2 million, which was flying from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

However, when it was flying over South Florida, the aircraft suddenly began experiencing serious problems. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has stated that severe weather conditions were a major factor behind the fatal crash. Now, NFL star Joe Mixon reacted to the news and revealed he was on the same plane with the same pilots weeks before the deadly plane crash.

Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon took to his X handle to share a note. In the note, Joe mentioned that he felt devastated by the tragic plane crash in Florida. According to reports, the plane crash cost nine innocent lives, including a 20-year-old female co-pilot and a 55-year-old male pilot. He revealed that he was on the same aircraft last month, in October 2026, with the same pilots. He wrote:

“Absolutely devastated by yesterday’s tragic plane crash in Florida and the loss of all nine lives. I flew on that exact aircraft last month with those same two pilots. They were incredible professionals and genuinely wonderful people.”

The 20-year-old female co-pilot has been identified as Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, and the 55-year-old male pilot has been identified as Jeff Gregory. The other victims have been identified as 45-year-old Texas tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife, Helen Sharp, and their children: 4-year-old Emma and 2-year-old Charlie, the kids’ nanny Anita Maria Cetina, and Adam and Helen’s friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.

Joe expressed his grief over the victims who lost their lives in the plane crash. The NFL star mentioned Nathalia and said that it broke his heart after he learned about the young aviator’s bright future ahead. He once again reminded us how fragile life is. He wrote:

“Hearing the young woman’s story and learning about the bright future she had ahead of her makes it even more heartbreaking that her life was cut so short. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the grieving families and loved ones of everyone on board.”

According to reports, 55-year-old pilot Jeff Gregory hailed from Pennsylvania. He reportedly had years of flying experience. As per reports, Jeff was heard reciting the Lord’s Prayer just seconds before the fatal crash. His haunting last words were “Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.” In fact, the air traffic control audio revealed that the 20-year-old co-pilot, Nathalia, was heard screaming out Jeff’s name. According to Nathalia’s last words, the doomed Learjet 60 descended 10,000 feet per minute. Later, in an overspeed condition, the aircraft descended 20,000 feet per minute.

20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras grew up in Palm Beach County. She got her private pilot’s license at the age of 17 back in October 2023. The young aviator got her pilot license before she got her driver’s license. After earning her pilot’s license, Nathalia started working as an instructor at another school in Fort Lauderdale before getting another pilot job. According to reports, Nathalia began her pilot lessons in 2020 and had 1,300 hours of flying experience.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their near and dear ones in this Florida plane crash.
