Week 3 NFL early predictions
Falcons (+7) @ Packers
Atlanta has been a dumpster fire of disgust through two weeks this season, but with any luck, they will have Michael Penix Jr. back in the fold on a short week.
Assuming Penix Jr. is active and starting, he should be competent enough to lead them to a competitive game against the Packers, who have no defense to speak of and a bad offensive line.
Atlanta, for all of their faults, of which there are many, has a bevy of playmakers at their disposal that should make him look half decent.
The Packers’ defense just made Geno Smith look competent in Week 2, as he threw for 247 yards and a touchdown in a rain-soaked game at MetLife Stadium.
Penix Jr. averaged 220 passing yards and one touchdown per game and that should be more than good enough to play well against a beatable Packers squad.
Betting on the NFL?
Saints -3 vs. Raiders
New Orleans is the best team you’re not paying attention. Their defeat of the Ravens was superb, and they gave the Lions all they could handle and then some in Week 1.
I don’t think that this is a situation where they’ve looked good as big underdogs and will fault now that they’re getting respect from oddsmakers.

It’s the Shough Show vs. Kirk Cousins, and I’m taking New Orleans to win this one big, and I don’t want to wait for this to move to Saints -3.5. Grab the field goal before the line shifts.
