The best time to bet Week 5 is early in the week, before the best-value lines disappear.
Last week, we had phenomenal results, hitting the Giants +1.5, although the line moved to +2.5 by game time on Sunday.
The Giants won outright; the same happened with New England against the Bills.
The Patriots opened +7, moved to 6.5, then back to +7.5 when Christian Gonzalez was declared out, though they easily covered and won outright.
We move on to Week 5 as the season moves past the opening stages and into the fall months.
NFL Week 5 early predictions
Giants +3.5 vs. Commanders
This line seems to imply that Jayden Daniels will be active for the Commanders, but there’s really nothing that points to that being the case.
Add-in the fact that Marcus Mariota was also declared out at halftime of Sunday’s game in London and Washington may really be down to a third-string quarterback when they face the division rival Giants.
Mariota is out with an MCL sprain, while Daniels hasn’t practiced since he injured his elbow earlier in the season.
I think this line could flip dramatically, since I’m not sure Daniels will play and Athan Kaliakmanis won’t be able to bring them to the promised land.
This game is a bet you may be thrilled to have wagered on, on Monday, as later in the week you could see Big Blue favored.
Bears -2 vs. Packers
Green Bay hasn’t played well for a full game yet this year, while Chicago made easy work of the Jets last week.
Getting this line under a field goal is good enough for me as most of the betting market begins to move to -3.
Chicago is No. 8 in DVOA this season, while the Packers are all the way down to No. 27.
This line is still available on BetRivers, and it could be worth targeting the other side if it moves to +3.5.
Betting on the NFL?

Bills +3.5 vs. Rams
The last +3.5 is available on Polymarket right now and is probably the last we will see of this line.
Buffalo is coming off a disappointing loss to the Patriots last week but we’re betting this number with the hook in mind.
The rest of the betting market is moving towards +2.5, so you’re getting an obvious spot to middle a field goal.
