Hyderabad: Nissan Motor India on Thursday unveiled the all-new Tekton C-SUV at its world premiere in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh for the T160 range and Rs 14.99 lakh for the T280 range.
Positioned in the premium C-SUV segment, Tekton comes with a fully turbocharged engine line-up, offering up to 280Nm torque, along with features such as Google built-in connectivity and 700 litres of boot space, the company said in a statement.
The model is manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant under its “One Car, One World” strategy and will cater to both domestic and export markets, including regions such as West Asia and Africa.
Saurabh Vatsa, managing director, Nissan Motor India, said, “Tekton is the flagship proof point of Nissan’s India resurgence. It has been crafted to deliver commanding presence, unmistakable luxury, intelligent technology, confident performance and everyday practicality in a package that is made in India and ready for the world.”

Nissan said it was offering Tekton with two turbocharged petrol engines — the T160 and the T280 — delivering up to 163PS power and fuel efficiency of 19.4 kmpl and 18.5 kmpl respectively. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic, the statement said.
The SUV features a dual-screen infotainment setup with Google built-in, over 55 connected features via the MyNISSAN app, and advanced driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and lane assist functions. According to the statement, with six airbags as standard and over 40 safety features, the Tekton is built on a high-strength steel monocoque structure.
