Bhubaneswar: Nitin Nabin, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on late-Sunday evening on a two-day visit during which he will participate in a series of organisational programmes and hold discussions with party leaders and ministers.
According to the State BJP, Nabin will arrive at the Bhubaneswar airport at around 10.30 PM. Owing to the ongoing aviation fuel-related constraints, he will travel on a regular commercial flight instead of a chartered aircraft.
He will be received at the airport by Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior party leaders. Party sources said no roadshow or procession has been planned, and he will proceed directly to his hotel after arrival.
During his visit, the BJP national president is also expected to visit Jagannath Temple in Puri to offer prayers to Lord Jagannath.
Party spokesperson Sudipta Ray said a BJP core committee meeting will be held at the party’s State headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Monday, which will be attended by Nabin.
Later in the day, he will inaugurate and address the district-level Pandit Deendayal Training Maha Abhiyan-2026 camp organised by the Bhubaneswar organisational district unit of the BJP at the campus of Asian Institute of Public Health University in Jatni.
After returning to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon, Nabin is scheduled to hold discussions with State office-bearers, morcha presidents and members of the State Cabinet at the BJP office.
Party leaders said the discussions are expected to focus on strengthening coordination between the government and the organisation, improving grassroots outreach and making governance more people-centric. Ministers are also likely to be advised on measures required within their respective departments to enhance public engagement and delivery.
Nabin is scheduled to return to New Delhi on Monday night after concluding his Odisha visit.
