Actress Nivetha Pethuraj is reportedly set to play a fun and pivotal role in actor ‘Victory’ Venkatesh’s upcoming film, Aadarsha Kutumbam. Popularly referred to as AK47 after the protagonist’s house number, the project is shaping up to be one of the biggest Telugu films of 2026. Scheduled for an October release, the family entertainer also stars Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. For Nivetha, this big-ticket project marks another exciting opportunity to shine in a major mainstream film. The movie reunites Nivetha with director Trivikram Srinivas after their successful collaboration in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, starring Allu Arjun. In the blockbuster entertainer, she played the love interest of Sushanth’s character, Raj Manohar.
Started strong in Tollywood
Before Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Nivetha built a strong foundation in Telugu cinema with films like Mental Madhilo, Brochevarevarura, and Chitralahari. She later shared screen space with Vishwak Sen in Paagal and Das Ka Dhamki, besides making a cameo appearance in the critically acclaimed Virata Parvam. Despite the success of these films, the actress has remained selective and consciously stayed away from uninteresting scripts.

Not a reluctant actor anymore
Nivetha entered the entertainment industry after winning the Miss India UAE contest. In an interview with Silverscreen early in her career, she admitted that acting was never part of her original plan. She explained that she preferred taking life lightly and only gave intense effort to things she genuinely cared about. The actress had also mentioned that many industry insiders were surprised to see a heroine fluent enough in Tamil to dub for herself.
Since then, Nivetha has become far more focused and ambitious about her acting journey. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Oru Naal Koothu. Her subsequent Tamil projects include Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam, the sci-fi thriller Tik Tik Tik, and the action entertainer Thimiru Pudichavan alongside Vijay Antony.
