The 9th round of the Premier VRL League lacked drama and suspense.

Even in the games that were derbies, the outcomes were decided well before the final whistle.

The ninth round concluded this evening with a clash between two Euro Cup clubs, Sabac and Partizan.

Sabac Elixir recorded an unexpectedly convincing victory, overwhelming the Belgrade-based side 11:4 with an outstanding defensive performance. Partizan took a 2:0 lead in the opening two and a half minutes, but found the net only twice more for the remainder of the match. Sabac responded with a 6:0 run to take a 6:2 lead late in the second quarter. The margin remained four at halftime (7:3).

Durutović reduced the deficit to 4:7 with Partizan’s first attack of the second half, raising hopes of an exciting finish. However, Šabac sealed a convincing victory with a 4:0 run over the final 15 and a half minutes. Petar Mićanović was Šabac’s top scorer with three goals.

Jadran m:tel defeated Budva Budvanska Rivijera 15:10 in a rematch of last year’s Montenegrin Championship playoff final. Jadran established a 6:2 lead in the opening eight minutes. Budva cut the deficit in half by halftime (5:7), but the team from Herceg Novi settled the contest in the third quarter, scoring five goals while conceding just two.

Danilo Radovic led Jadran with four goals, followed by Tadija Matijasevuc with three. Marko Mrsic was Budva’s top scorer with three goals.

Buducnost One failed to put up much resistance against Primorac in Podgorica. The visitors led 13:2 midway through the third quarter. Primorac then eased off but maintained a double-digit advantage, eventually securing a 17:7 victory. Balša Vuckovic and Nemanja Ubovic were the main contributors, scoring five and four goals, respectively.

Radnicki had no trouble in beating Zemun Vrdnik Residence, winning 22:7 despite being without several of their most experienced first-team players. Guduric scored five goals for the Kragujevac side, which was led by assistant coach Filip Batinic in place of Uros Stevanović.

Novi Beograd Tehnomanija thrashed Valis Vega 27:6. Once again, Vasilije Martinovic and Nikola Kojic spearheaded Novi Beograd’s attack, scoring six and five goals, respectively.

In the battle at the bottom of the table, Nais convincingly defeated Vojvodina 18:11. The Nis club effectively secured the victory in the second quarter, which they won 6:0, taking an 11:2 lead into halftime. Nešić and Pejić scored four goals each for Nais, while Drobnjakovic led Vojvodina with three.
