Noel Gallagher has hinted he could be about to create new Oasis tunes following the iconic band’s hugely successful reunion tour last summer
Oasis fans could be about to rejoice. Noel Gallagher has revealed he is back in the recording studio.
However, the 58-year-old star stopped short of revealing he was producing new tracks for the iconic group. After last year’s hugely successful reunion tour, Noel and his brother Liam Gallagher are hotly tipped to embark on a stadium tour next.
And fans have been hoping it could lead to the band’s first new music since 2009. Speaking to TalkSPORT about the Manchester City revival that now sees the Citizens favourites to lift this season’s Premier League trophy, Noel made the admission to Andy Goldstein.

Following their chat about Pep Guardiola’s side’s victory over title rivals Arsenal, Andy asked Noel how things were in his life. Noel told the host: “Everything’s great.
“I’m in the studio noodling away. It’s all good.” Andy tried to push him for more information, but Noel remained coy – and sarcastic – in his response.
“You know I’m a musician,” Noel said. “I write songs for a living.” And he acknowledged Andy when he questioned if he was writing new material, but failed to say who for.
“I’m just writing songs,” he said. And when Andy hinted it could be for Oasis, Noel insisted: “It could be for anyone.”
Noel as keen to point out his belief that his beloved Manchester City will be adding to their title haul. It comes just a month after he and brother Liam “partied hard” after watching their team be crowned Carabao Cup winners.
City beat Arsenal again in the competition with Pep once again getting one over on Arteta.
It appears that it’s not just new music Noel is currently working on. The musician recently enjoyed a two-hour private appointment at celebrity perfume designer Azzi Glasser’s London atelier to stock up on luxury fragrances and scented candles.
And he’s said to have an excellent nose when it comes to creating the perfect smells. Noel loves his scents and smells. He’s great – he’s so funny, absolutely brilliant,” Azzi told The Mirror exclusively of his visit.
She also said the star “loves his scents and smells”. The appointment cost Noel £1,500 and the former Britpop icon also snapped up several scented candles at £65 a pop.
“We were trying to find a fragrance that would suit his character and style,” she said of Noel’s latest visit to her store. “With Noel, what you see on the outside is not always what you see on the inside.
“He’s got a good nose. He’s quite intelligent on that front – he knows his candle scents and he wants his house to smell good. Some guys are great in that department, and some just aren’t.”
