Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter has released her debut album and a music video where she showed off some cheek piercings, just weeks after releasing a single about piercings on her hand
Kanye West’s 12 year old daughter North has followed in his footsteps by releasing an album of her own, which debuted alongside a music video where she showed off some cheek piercings.
The child star, whose mother is Kim Kardashian, released her debut EP, N0rth4ever, on 1 May. It dropped on streaming platforms weeks after the release of her first solo single ‘Piercing On My Hand‘ and only months after signing with music label gamma in late 2025. Prior to the release of her album, North had already obtained a series of production credits on songs by other artists, but the six-track EP is her first solo album.

As seen in a screenshot shared by proud mum Kim, North’s album is listed as a hip hop and rap album on Apple Music. But some of the tracks have been described as “metal” as well.
Alongside the album, North released a music video for the lead track ‘#North4ever’, which also appeared to be influenced by heavy rock.
The song focuses on themes of mental health. North sings: “Know it’s been a hard time for me lately, I’ve been deep in the dark, you can’t save me.” She also sings about “fake” people in her life: “Know my mind’s in a place that is not safe (What? What?) So much people ’round me, but I know they all fake.”
In the video, North could be seen with several piercings, including one on the bridge of her nose and two in her cheek. This isn’t the first time North has been seen with piercings on her face. In February, she was pictured with symmetrical studs across her cheeks, lip and nose. She has also been seen with studs on her fingers, hands and wrists, though fans are unsure if they are real or temporary stickers.
Still, many have criticised Kim and Kanye for allowing their daughter to have the jewellery. North has previously hit back at critics on TikTok. Via an account she shares with Kim, she shared a video of herself, while a sound in the background said: “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.” She added text over the top which read: “This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.”
Meanwhile, Kim defended her mothering during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She said: “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creative [style] away from her.”
It appears that the piercings and North’s new blue hair may be part of her plan to launch her own fashion and jewellery label. North’s mum, trainee lawyer and businesswoman Kim Kardashian, has filed three trademark applications for the line called NOR11.
The name appears to be made up of the first three letters of North’s name, as well as the age when she came up with the idea. One application was made for clothing and accessories, including footwear, hats, stockings and dresses. While another was for watches and jewellery, as well as bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces.
While a third was for bags, handbags, wallets and cosmetic cases. The trademarks were filed by KimYe’s Kid Inc., a California corporation incorporated in August 2023. And while the brand name reflects both of North’s parents, it appears that West is not included. The only officer listed is Kim, and the registered office is that of Lou Taylor, a business manager.
