Hyderabad:BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday said fear was evident in the speeches of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at public meetings in Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Jagtial. He noted that both leaders targeted the BJP, convinced it would form the next government.

Rao accused KCR of distorting facts by blaming the Centre for denying power to farmers over demands to install meters on agricultural pumpsets. He challenged Revanth’s claims of financial support for various sections and urged both leaders to join an open debate, blaming them for damaging the state’s finances.

Reiterating BJP’s concerns over construction flaws in the Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram barrages of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, Rao demanded a comprehensive probe covering all dams and the entire project. He alleged that KCR and Revanth were shielding each other, citing the “vote‑for‑note” case and the Kaleshwaram scam.

On social media, Rao also criticised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “terrorist.” He said Modi was a democratically elected leader serving his third term and recalled that Congress leaders had abused him for 25 years, labelling him “Hitler” and “Maut ka Saudagar.” “Every slur has only strengthened him,” Rao remarked.
