Observations from Giants training camp on Tuesday.
Beck’ Gets Call
Odell Beckham Jr. saw a major uptick in first-team reps. John Harbaugh called it part of the day-to-day rotation, but a conspiracy theorist might suggest the staff wants a better evaluation of Beckham, who has been creating separation without drawing targets with the second-team offense. He had what might have been a touchdown, but it was bang-bang out of bounds.

Lower the Flag
The Giants halved their staggering number of penalties from the day before, but seven is still too many. Four were false starts. And QB Jaxson Dart drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after a touchdown run.
Caught My Eye
The Giants ran their most one-on-ones of camp, including the first pitting receivers against cornerbacks. WR Dalen Cambre, a camp star, shook rookie CB Colton Hood in coverage, and Art Green recorded a diving, one-handed pass breakup. The rest of the team completed 9-on-7 run-game work.
Injury Report
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee swelling) did not practice. WR Malachi Fields was held out of 11-on-11 drills. CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse did not practice for the second straight day.
