OFA claimed an overtime win and Gouverneur and Chateaugay stayed undefeated against NAC opponents in Monday’s NAC girls soccer action.
OFA shaded Potsdam 1-0, Chateaugay blanked Madrid-Waddington 5-0 in an NAC East game and Gouverneur posted a 5-0 interdivision win over St. Lawrence Central.

In other NAC games, Canton shaded Malone 2-1 and Salmon River downed Massena 3-2 in overtime.
OFA 1 – Potsdam 0: The Blue Devil coaching shifted some players around for Monday’s NAC Central game. Brooke Irvine moved from stopper to center halfback and found herself in position to score the only goal of the game in the second overtime.
Irvine scored on a through pass from Payton Morley and cut a shot past the Potsdam goalie into the net.
‘”We move some people around today and things went well. Brooke did a nice job cutting the ball past their goalie,” said OFA Coach Amy Lemke. “Carlie Thompson had a great game at sweeper and Ainsleigh Amo had a several nice saves in goal.”

Gouverneur 5 – SLC 0: The Wildcats gained an inter-league win sparked by Addison Kartowski who scored three goals and assisted on Jacie Prashaw’s tally. Payton Wood delivered one goal and one assist. Bracelyn Hance and Sylvia Burt also assisted on goals in the contest where Liberty Allen stopped three shots.
Lyla Perry stopped eight shots for the Larries.
“The girls played well. St. Lawrence Central played very hard and their goalie has a very good game with some tough saves,” said Gouverneur Coach Shawn Typhair.
Canton 2 – Malone 1: Aeva Richards and Gigi Sergi scored for Canton to offset a penalty shot by Sadie Varin of the Huskies. All of the scoring came in the second half and the Bears finished with a 12-10 shots on goal margin.

Chateaugay 5 – M-W 0: The Bulldogs broke through a solid M-W defensive effort scoring four goals in the second half. Khloe Parmeter was involved in three goals scoring and setting up two Irelynn LaPlante tallies. LaPlante scored three times and set up a Payton Parmeter goal in the first half. Mya McComb also picked up an assist in the game,
Ava Staples posted the shutout and Hannah Pryce made 18 saves for M-W.
“I am very happy with the way we played tonight offensively and defensively. We were in attack mode from the start. We were able to get good shots and had a lot of corner kicks. Hannah (Pryce) had a great game in net for them tonight,” said Chateaugay Coach Jason LaPlante. “It was great to have Payton (Parmeter) in the lineup for the first time this year. Irelynn and Khloe clicked very well up front and the McComb sisters had very good games in the midfield.”
