Olivia Attwood has shared with fans that she refused to clarify her relationship status amid rumors she is dating former TOWIE star Pete Wicks in cryptic social media post
Since she was caught kissing close pal Pete Wicks earlier this year, fans have been questioning whether Olivia Attwood had decided to embark on a relationship with the former TOWIE star. But both reality TV stars have sent fans into a frenzy as they have refused to clarify their close bond – until now, that is.
After taking to social media recently, the TV presenter and documentary maker posted a number of pictures to her Instagram and has now captioned her photo dump saying: “Not clearing up any rumours. If I didn’t do it, I still might.”
The Loose Women panellist, 35, split with her husband Bradley Dack back in January amid allegations of infidelity during their marriage. In her previous photo dump, Olivia seemed to hint at trouble in paradise, which many assumed was linked to her newfound romance with Pete, who shares a podcast with the star.
But eagle-eyed fans were less interested in her cryptic admission as they noticed Pete’s dog, Rodney, in one of her pictures. At the time, one person wrote: “Yay to Rodney. Was hoping to spot some subtle Pete hints and also wondered if the dogs are mates! (So invested).”
Another person said: “Yes Rodney!!!!!!!” And a third fan added: “Hard launching Rodney!” “Stitch, Lola & Rodney,” said a fourth. Speculation about her alleged romance with Pete began circulating back in August last year, as the couple soaked up the sun in Ibiza for KISS.
Pictures emerged of Pete placing his hand on Olivia’s thigh, sending shockwaves among their fans. But as she was still married to Bradley at the time, Olivia was keen to address rumours.
Olivia claimed that her marriage was going through “difficult times.” She admitted: “Me and Brad never pretend to have a perfect relationship, we have been up, down, left, backwards, and the last six months have been really challenging for us. My work and his work take precedence over everything, we have to navigate our relationship all the time.”
She added: “It’s the boring side of being an adult in a long-term relationship, we constantly have to work at it and that’s just the truth. No one else really wants to say that part out loud but it is difficult at times. It’s great to post a picture on Instagram but we’re transparent people and it’s not always like that.”
The TV presenter and podcaster continued: “There are ups and downs, there are things on his side which haven’t been great, there’s a mix of things. I have f***ed up and done stuff, Brad has f***ed up. It’s really easy to pretend you’re perfect but no one is if you just dig a little deeper.”
Speaking about her estranged husband’s reaction, she went on to say: “I get why Brad didn’t like it, we were all on the boat, drinking and hugging each other and being best friends, it was family vibes. But if it was the other way around, of course I wouldn’t like it either, me and Brad are very similar people, we were drawn together because we’re both quite out there personality-wise, we know how to have fun.”
“But I completely understand why he was a bit miffed but it was never as deep as anyone made out. People were like, “Oh my God, they’re getting a divorce because Pete hugged her”, but that’s not the case. So, Pete is hugging me, I was just there!,” she said.
She concluded her statement saying: “It was just a holiday to Ibiza, who knew it would cause so much trouble? I was there with KISS, which is why Pete was there and we were hosting for them. We hosted an O Beach event and a couple of my pals joined and we had a few extra days.”
