Ore Oduba got married to TV researcher Portia Jett in November 2015 and the pair had two children together before splitting in 2023 – now Portia is sharing how devastating the split was

Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba’s estranged wife Portia has revealed their two young children were ‘really upset’ after being told the family home had to be sold earlier this year.

Last week Ore opened up about their marriage imploding after his addiction to porn ‘destroyed’ his life and cost him thousands of pounds.

Now former TV researcher Portia has spoken about the toll the upheaval is taking on her both physically and mentally, as she prepares to move her children to a new school in Kent and leave behind her close network of mum friends.

The 36-year-old told followers her ‘stomach is all over the place’ as she navigates the changes. ‘I’ve just been feeling really anxious this week,’ she said.

‘My stomach has been all over the place. It’s Roman’s last week of school and I don’t really like change, especially when it comes to the kids.

‘I feel really overwhelmed with it all. I also feel like I’m leaving my support network. I’ve got friends at the school who have been an absolute rock for me and the kids.’

Portia, who recently qualified as a personal trainer, is rebuilding her life following her divorce. However, she has been forced to sell the family home she once shared with Oduba in Tunbridge Wells, meaning a fresh start for the children, although they will remain in the same area.

‘I know I’ll still see my friends and the kids will make new friends,’ she added tearfully. ‘But over the years, as I’ve dealt with stuff, they’ve been amazing for me and the kids. I get overwhelmed with change.’

Despite the upheaval, Portia, daughter of Nick Culmer, frontman of punk band Anti-Nowhere League ,has found happiness in a new relationship with British-German businessman Joshua Saxon Birch, which she confirmed on social media last year.

Meanwhile, former BBC presenter Oduba has been keeping busy with theatre work and is set to embark on a UK tour with his Strictly partner Joanne Clifton, with whom he lifted the Glitterball Trophy in 2016.

Last year, he surprised fans by posting a photo wearing swimwear emblazoned with the Pride rainbow flag, later writing about how the death of his sister Lola, who was gay, inspired him to live more authentically.
