Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers put in serious hours in the weight room this past offseason after winning WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Bueckers, the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, said she added 15 pounds of lean muscle mass by implementing three-hour weightlifting sessions, according to ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

The former NCAA champ with UConn currently weighs 160 pounds after ending last season playing at 145 pounds, Rowe said on the broadcast during the Wings’ 107-104 win over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Saturday.

“She said she’s been able to keep her quickness and it feels good on her frame,” Rowe added.

Bueckers finished with 20 points four assists and three rebounds.

The WNBA All-Star scored 15 points in a loss against Angel Reese and her new Atlanta Dream team in Tuesday’s home opener in Arlington.

Bueckers bulked up after winning 10 games in her rookie campaign — and in the midst of a busy offseason.

She played in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 basketball league after the Breeze BC drafted her first overall in November.

Bueckers averaged 22.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 14 games for Breeze BC.

She made the All-Unrivaled First Team and led Breeze BC in both points and assists and recorded nine 20-point performances.

Bueckers also played with Team USA’s senior national team this offseason.

The Wings are looking to build on the momentum of their No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, Azzi Fudd, who won an NCAA title with Bueckers in Storrs in 2025.

Dallas hired a winning college coach in Jose Fernandez from South Florida in October.
