Pakistan batting updates
Pakistan: 131/8 after 30 overs

Harry Brook’s field placement pays off as Arafat Minhas gloves Overton down the leg side to Joe Root at short fine leg.
-
Salman Agha and Hasan Nawaz have steadied the chase but the scoring has dried up, with no boundary in more than eight overs.

Jamie Overton removes Saad Baig for a 22-ball 32, Will Jacks taking a sharp catch at backward point. Pakistan four down and England right back in it.
-
Saad Baig counter-attacks with seven fours, taking Pakistan past fifty. England’s 56 for 4 at the same stage is a reminder this is far from done.

-
Henry Crocombe strikes on debut, Saim Ayub steering a loose shot to Jamie Overton at slip for 6.

-
Arafat Minhas has Jamie Overton caught at long off to leave England nine down. The left-arm spinner finishes with 2 for 26 from eight tidy overs.
-
England have lost three wickets for 12 runs since Duckett fell. A total close to 250 now looks out of reach.

Arafat Minhas removes Ben Duckett for 105. England are in trouble again after a brilliant lone hand.
-
Ben Duckett brings up his fifth ODI century off 104 balls. He is holding England together on his own.

-
Ben Duckett reaches his fifty off 56 balls as England start to recover from the early collapse.

Toss result:
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first.
Pre-match:
Pakistan began the ODI tri-series strongly as they won both their first-round matches against Sri Lanka and England and at the moment they are favourites to reach the final of the Tri-series.

They kicked off the contest with a 37-run win over Sri Lanka, after which they thrashed England by 87 runs. One more win against Harry Brook’s side on Sunday will seal the hosts’ berth in the final.
England, on the other hand, lost both their first two games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka and are on the verge of facing elimination. One more loss could spell doom for Brook and Co. In their last game against the Lankans, England failed to defend 429 runs as Sri Lanka did the unthinkable at Rawalpindi.
