ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler discussed Carolina’s ongoing offensive line problems on NFL Network, saying that the team is exploring ‘potential solutions’ to address its protection issues.

“Bryce Young has had 11 sacks in the last two weeks,” Fowler said. “He was under constant duress in that Thursday night game against Green Bay. So he was asked about it today. He would not tip his hand on that, but I know they have at least evaluated that situation.

“Part of the problem is they’ve been pretty beat up with injuries. There’s only so much they can do. Their left guard, Damien Lewis, is already out for the second straight week. So they might have to stand pat, but they are looking at potential solutions.”

Carolina’s offensive line has endured significant difficulties throughout the season, with a series of injuries forcing the coaching staff to experiment with different combinations. The Panthers are now focused on identifying a lineup that can provide better protection for Young while also improving the team’s ability to establish a consistent running game.

Beyond their offensive struggles, Carolina has also encountered major problems on the defensive side of the ball. Those issues have contributed to significant coaching changes, including the dismissals of defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and defensive passing game coordinator Jonathan Cooley.

The challenge will be even greater against a Broncos team entering the matchup with a 6-2 record. Unless Carolina finds a way to shore up its protection, Young could be in for another difficult outing as the Panthers attempt to get their offense back on track.
