Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan pulled up officials for failing to take necessary measures to stop polluting Godavari river by a paper manufacturing unit in Rajahmundry even as the State government is gearing up to organize Godavari Pushkarams.
He sought a detailed report from officials on the factors leading to pollution of the river. Braving scorching heat, Pawan Kalyan visited the areas where the river is getting polluted. He asked how devotees can take a holy dip in the river when it is being polluted with industrial effluents.
