Hyderabad:BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday called on people to “send the anti-people Congress government packing” when the time came, adding that the mood of the people in Telangana was one of wanting to “see KCR return as CM by throwing the Congress out.”
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Sathupalli in Khammam district, Rama Rao said the Congress government has undermined and weakened all welfare programmes and schemes introduced by the previous BRS government. “Even Khammam, which has three ministers holding powerful portfolios, has gained nothing under the present administration,” he said.
Rama Rao also continued his attack on Revanth Reddy on the issue of crop procurement. “As the then TPCC president he promised to procure all crops at their minimum support price. Now he says Telangana can procure only as much crop as the Centre permits. This government has failed farmers by delaying procurement, neglecting Rythu Bharosa and not ensuring the availability of fertilisers,” he said.
