EXCLUSIVE: Musician Charlie Jeer has become a global success thanks to his newfound fame on TikTok after amassing millions of followers, and it appears that Prince William is also a fan of the star

Charlie Jeer appears to have a royal fan after spotting Prince William at one of his performances. Charlie, who has amassed millions of followers on social media, has become known for his catchy songs – and his love of the saxophone.

But now, the 23-year-old musician and model has teamed up with fellow singer and Bridgerton star, Simone Ashley, for their track, So Good, and while it’s become a hit online, it’s also proven to be popular at Windsor Castle.

Having amassed over an impressive 150million streams to date and sold out shows across the UK and Europe, as well as Australia, it’s fair to say that Kent-born Charlie is one of the UK’s hottest emerging artists.

And earlier this month, Charlie and Simone debuted the track at Windsor Castle for Prince William – a moment the musician never expected. Speaking to the Mirror about the performance, Charlie said: “Having the opportunity to perform in front of the royal family is a blessing. Getting to do it alongside Simone Ashley, inside Windsor Castle, was arguably one of the most surreal performance experiences anyone can have.

“I didn’t notice where Prince William was during the performance, only to look towards my right as I walked off the stage to notice he was standing just metres away from me the whole time.

“It was an absolute honour to have my music be able to take me to such surreal experiences, and I’m just so grateful that I got to do it.” So Good, riding on the high of Charlie’s hit viral, My Madonna boasts a sultry yet nostalgic production, filled with catchy beats and, of course, his signature saxophone sound, ready for the summer.

Speaking of the track, Charlie commented: “I wanted to make a song that spreads positivity and joy into the world – So Good was written just for that purpose.” He went on to explain that having Simone, who is known for her tracks including Sublime and Sign Your Name, featuring on So Good was “a privilege”.

He added: “She added so much life and energy into the song and I’m grateful to work with such incredible people. We wanted to create a sonic palette that nods to a time when the world felt much simpler – echoing disco nostalgia. I’m so excited to be able to release So Good, and I hope everyone feels the joy that we put into the record.”

Meanwhile, Simone said: “When I was first introduced to Charlie and his work, I wasn’t just drawn to his undeniable talent, but his sense of dreaming big. I think it’s really important to surround yourself with like-minded creatives who want to achieve their dreams and motivate the people around them to work harder and play harder.”

She said of So Good: “This track oozes summer and a funk that I couldn’t get out of my head. I’ve made some wonderful memories surrounding this song and the making of the music video, and I can’t wait for everything that we’re up to individually and together in the future.”

As well as performing at Windsor Castle, Charlie has recently performed at UMG’s Showcase in China, the High Chai British Embassy to India event, and headlining his own show in Istanbul, as well as performing at the Formula 1 event at Silverstone.
