Peter Andre kept things cryptic after Lee Andrews’ bizarre boast that he had ‘adopted’ his wife’s five children, a claim that has reportedly left Katie Price “absolutely shaken”.
Even though he has yet to meet them, self-proclaimed millionaire Lee – who is now flogging Cameo videos – told one fan in a personalised clip that they had taken the huge step, and that he and Katie have plans to start their own family as they try for a baby.
He said: “I haven’t got children, but we’re trying. I’ve adopted five of them. I love my wife and I love her children.” Lee made the declaration despite having only ever spoken to Katie’s brood on FaceTime. In another video he said: “Obviously, five beautiful children that I get to call my own now. Handful.”
Peter Andre’s reps issued a blistering response following Lee’s claim. Peter shares Princess and Junior Andre with Katie and in a statement his team insisted that nothing could be further from the truth.
They denied Lee’s recent remarks and described them as “categorically untrue” and “yet another lie” from the self-proclaimed millionaire, who was recently released from prison. Clearing things up even further where Princess and Junior were concerned, the singer’s spokesperson added to Metro: “They haven’t even met him!”
Peter himself has taken Instagram and appeared to address the matter, suggesting the response was not initiated by him. He wrote: “When you get told you responded to something that you didn’t respond to and only found out that you allegedly responded by reading out it is quite something. Ah well, at least it’s summer.”
Closer report that Katie was “genuinely shaken” by Lee’s claims about her children. “Katie has been left genuinely shaken after realising some of the things Lee has been saying don’t quite add up, especially around the claims about meeting the kid,” a source said, “It’s made her stop and reassess everything, and for the first time she’s starting to see through what she now feels has been a lot of smoke and mirrors.
“There’s a sense of relief from those around Katie that certain inconsistencies are coming to light, in the hope it acts as a bit of a wake-up call.
“At the same time, it’s knocked her confidence massively, because she’s now questioning who and what she can actually believe. Katie is feeling very vulnerable and doesn’t know who to trust, which has led her to pull back from almost everyone.”
This isn’t the first time that his remarks about her children had raised eyebrows – he previously alleged that he had met some of her brood, thought to be her three oldest kids, Princess, Junior and Harvey.
Her representative later came out to deny this, and it later emerged that he had only spoken to them on FaceTime, not in person. She also shared she had no plans to introduce him to her youngsters until she had got to know him better.
Katie left fans shocked when she announced her marriage to Lee following a trip to Dubai in January – days after meeting him.
Their relationship sparked concern from her loved ones, who questioned his intentions after he had not joined her in the UK – it later emerged that he had a travel ban, and was unable to leave the UAE.
Months after their big day, she confessed: “For me to introduce him to the kids, I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet, because I want to get to know him more myself.”
