Former federal opposition leader Peter Dutton is $6.15 million richer after offloading the sprawling farm north-west of Brisbane that he and his family called home.
The Duttons initially tried to sell the 168-acre Dayboro property via auction in December last year, but eventually sold it on the open market to a wealthy farming family.
Known as Juffs Farm, real estate advertising sold it as a “private resort-style oasis”, with a tennis court, mini-golf and a sparkling magnesium pool.
A slick extension with polished-concrete floors has been added to the classic Queenslander, with five stacking doors opening on to the infinity pool.
The property, which the Duttons bought for $2.1 million in 2020, spent two months and 24 days on the market, with the contract settled on March 12.
The sale follows news that the state government appointed Dutton to the board of the Queensland Investment Corporation this month.
