Hyderabad: Madhapur police received a petition alleging an attempt to encroach on plots in the Sunnam Cheruvu area, with petitioners naming film producer C. Kalyan and two others. Police are examining the allegations and seeking legal consultation before deciding on further action.
The petition was submitted by Shyam Singh, president of the CIAT Society, along with plot owners who claimed that their properties are located in survey numbers 12, 12A and 13 at Guttala Begumpet.
According to the petition, C. Kalyan and others entered the plots on Saturday morning without permission and erected blue sheets around the properties. The petitioners alleged that the sheets were put up in a manner that prevented them from entering or accessing their plots.
The plot owners claimed that they had earlier approached the authorities when attempts were allegedly made to encroach upon their properties. They said the individuals involved had stayed away from the land following the earlier complaints. However, the petitioners alleged that a fresh attempt was now being made to take control of their plots. They sought action against C. Kalyan, Prakash Dharak and Premlatha, whom they named in their complaint.
Police confirmed that a petition has been received and said the allegations were being looked into. Legal consultation is being sought to examine the nature of the dispute, the ownership claims and the allegations of illegal entry and obstruction before taking further action.
Sources said the petition was being verified and the claims made by the complainants would be examined as part of the preliminary inquiry. No case has been registered so far, and further action will be taken based on the legal opinion and findings of the inquiry.
