Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is deeply invested in the upcoming film Lenin, which is set to release in theatres on July 10. As one of the film’s producers, the period rural action drama holds immense personal significance for him. The Kuberaa and Coolie star considers it the biggest and most crucial milestone in his son Akhil Akkineni’s career.

The film also carries sentimental value for Nagarjuna. Its story unfolds in a village named Sriramapuram, the same name as the birthplace of his late father, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Nagarjuna has been actively leading the film’s promotional campaign. At the pre-release event in Tirupati on Sunday, he passionately cheered for his son. His slogan, “Manodu Vasthunnadu” (“Our guy is coming”), reflected the pride of a father as much as it served as the film’s tagline.

On Monday, the family sought divine blessings for the film’s success at the Tirumala temple. Nagarjuna and Akhil offered prayers at the shrine, accompanied by Amala Akkineni and the film’s leading lady, Bhagyashri Borse.
