Tom Cruise and Alejandro G. Iñárritu came together with the cast of Digger for the film’s world premiere in London on Tuesday, September 22. The star-studded event, held at Leicester Square, also served as the Royal Film Performance, with Prince William and Kate Middleton in attendance.
Cruise looked dapper in a classic tailored suit as he arrived for the premiere. The actor also posed in front of the film’s poster, recreating a signature gesture from his character, Digger Rockwell.
The premiere also offered a glimpse of the camaraderie between Cruise and Iñárritu. In one of the pictures, the director can be seen hugging Cruise from behind as the two speak to the media.
Cruise and Iñárritu also posed with Prince William and Kate Middleton, who spent time speaking with the filmmakers and the cast on the red carpet. Prince William arrived in a black velvet jacket, while Middleton wore a floor-length purple gown for the occasion.
The premiere brought together several members of the film’s ensemble, including Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde and Emma D’Arcy.
Digger, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, stars Cruise in the title role and is set to release in cinemas and IMAX on October 2, 2026.
