The Detroit Pistons provided an update on center Jalen Duren on Sunday.
Duren suffered a right hamstring strain just over two weeks ago, and the initial plan was to re-evaluate him two weeks later.
That time has come, but the Pistons’ latest update said they’ll re-evaluate him in another two weeks. If Detroit sticks to that timeline, it would be Sunday, November 22, when the Pistons play the Atlanta Hawks in the first game of a quick two-game road trip.

The Pistons’ update said Duren has been cleared for on-court basketball activity.
Duren initially suffered the injury on Friday, October 23, against the Miami Heat. He picked it up in the second quarter and did not finish the game.
The Pistons initially said he would be re-evaluated in two weeks, which meant he would miss the team’s next six games. Now that Duren is set to be re-evaluated in another two weeks, the Detroit center would miss the team’s next seven games.
Without Duren in the lineup, the Pistons are 4-2 and most recently lost 112-106 to the Philadelphia 76ers. If Duren returns in two weeks, he will be back just in time for Detroit to face the Atlanta Hawks on the road on November 22.

The Detroit center has only played in one and a half games so far this season. He is averaging 13 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
Duren was a hot topic over the offseason because he and the Pistons couldn’t agree on a contract. While trade rumors swirled, Detroit got the deal done, signing him to a 5-year, $200 million extension that keeps him under contract through the 2030-2031 season.
The Pistons will next face the Los Angeles Lakers at home on Sunday night.
