TIRUPATI: A police hospital established with the support of KIMS Hospitals was inaugurated at the district police office (DPO) in Ongole on Friday to provide healthcare services to police personnel and their families.

District collector P. Rajababu, superintendent of police V. Harshavardhan Raju and KIMS Hospitals chairman Dr Bollineni Bhaskar Rao inaugurated the facility.

The hospital has a reception, pharmacy, laboratory, doctors’ consultation rooms, specialist consultation rooms and other basic medical facilities. It will provide outpatient services, first aid, regular health check-ups and emergency medical care.

The collector said police personnel working under stressful conditions should undergo regular health check-ups and seek timely treatment. He appreciated the police department for prioritising staff welfare and KIMS Hospitals for supporting the initiative.

The SP said the hospital was established to provide better healthcare to police personnel and their families. He said the facility would reduce the need for staff to visit outside hospitals for minor ailments, enabling them to continue their duties without interruption.

He advised personnel to maintain healthy eating habits, exercise regularly and undergo periodic health check-ups. He also thanked the KIMS management, officials and staff for their support in establishing the hospital.
