KAKINADA: Rajamahendravaram One Town police recovered Rs 1,99,25,000 from three accused who allegedly took Rs 2 crore in cash belonging to their employer, police said.
According to police, complainant Kandula Suresh Kumar had left Rs 2 crore in cash, kept in two bags inside his car, for depositing in a bank. He went to a gym near the SBI regional office in Danavaipeta, Rajamahendravaram, on September 21.
When Suresh Kumar returned at about 8.45 am, his driver Panduri Sai Siva was allegedly missing along with the cash and had switched off his mobile phone. The complainant subsequently lodged a complaint with I Town police.
I Town circle inspector N. Muralikrishna said police arrested Panduri Sai Siva, Appabathula Durga Vara Prasad of Dowleswaram and Panduri Veera Venkata Satya Prasad and recovered Rs 1,99,25,000.
I Town police registered a case and further investigation is under way.
